Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She holds the record for being awarded 10/10 marks at an Olympic performance. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci at the age of six. Comaneci would go on to become the Romanian gymnastics coach. The year 1969 was the first time she participated in the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. In 1970, she won the title. In 1972, at an event for communist-controlled countries' junior athletes before the Olympics she was awarded three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she won the junior champion in all aspects. In 1975 she was awarded four golds and one silver at her first senior competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. In 1976 she became the first person in the world to utilize a reversed double salto for a dismount off parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager, she began performing in traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her career in entertainment during her teenage years. Early on Carol was an ice figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. Ice Capades showcased performances of skating on ice with actors.
