Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
My son played inside a playpen, while I was working 12-hour shifts cleaning the floors, as well as removing the wallpaper. Ha! It was all starting to come together but there was still a long way to go. This was going take the time, energy, and of course my favourite shopping experience for furniture to decorate this home. To keep the cost within my means I took my kids with me to look for treasures in estate sales. We would go from the week of Thursday through Saturday at garage sales and estate sales buying brand new furniture. After that, I painted and sanded in the driveway throughout the week. My passion for furniture restoration began when I saw a style like this. I kept on restoring furniture even after we had furnished our house. There was an area on the market, where I would sell objects. I was able to outgrow the market because I had plenty of pieces that I was able to use. I started having open houses in my home which saw over 1 000 guests could visit in a single weekend and could buy anything they saw in the first floor. It was here that my business Growing Days was born. In addition to my thriving business, I also grew our family. It was like I was able to find the perfect way to balance being a mom and starting my new company. Growing Days seemed like the perfect fit. The year was 2013, and my sweet daughter Nora joined our 4th child. I adored where my business was going, but I wanted a break. I took a pause from creating furniture for vintage homes, and also slowed my pace to be at home to help my children. This was just what I needed. However after a few months after that, the phone began to ring. Many people called me to ask for advice on home improvement and decorating. The majority of people who contacted me came from people who visited my home at one of my furniture open houses. After a while I began to take on customers according to my schedule. In no time, I was managing multiple accounts, as well as a house renovations business. You would probably have laughed at me had I had told you that this was going to be the subject of an DIY Network tv series. Actually, I smile slightly when I recall the story.
